Miss Sam

Miss Sam has an extensive background in the dance industry. She has trained at prestigious dance studios in Toronto, Hamilton and Burlington. She has completed all of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing exams in the Cecchetti method of ballet. Also achieving honors in her exams in jazz at the Canadian Dance Teachers Association. Additionally, Miss Sam is a certified Acro teacher as a member of Acrobatic Arts Association. Throughout her career she has received outstanding results for her performances and her choreography. Miss Sam also has an impressive background in the preforming acts. She has appeared in Nationally Televised commercials, television shows and currently hosts a fashion segment with Style TV. Her passion for dance is an inspiration for many young dancers. Miss Sam continues to update her teaching techniques and knowledge by regularly attending workshops with Internationally acclaimed Choreographers. She has completed her training with Dance Educator’s of Canada and has over 10 years of experience teaching Recreational and she has experience in Competitive as well. Not only is Miss Sam an accomplished Dance Teacher, Choreographer, and actress, she has also had time to have three beautiful children. Miss Sam is currently a full member of Dance Ontario. Many of her students have been submitted into prestigious dance programs and have gone on to pursue successful careers in dance. Miss Sam ensures her choreography and knowledge of dance is always at the forefront. Her goal as a teacher/choreographer is to create an environment that results in continuous growth, improvement, and brings her students’ talents and abilities to new heights. She is excited to bring her dynamic personality to The Smithville Dance Academy and also proud to provide inspirational and exceptional training to her students.

Miss Hannah

Miss Hannah is a proud graduate of the Smithville Dance Academy’s competitive program, trained in a wide range of styles, including ballet, tap, hip-hop, jazz, musical theatre, contemporary, and lyrical, brings a wealth of knowledge and creativity to her classes. Hannah focuses on the “fun”damentals of dance, aiming to inspire and challenge her students while nurturing their love for the art form. As a teacher she has earned choreography awards, and led her students to win various overalls. With a wealth of experience working with children, she knows how to connect with young dancers, making each class a positive and enriching experience. Beyond dance, Hannah is also an entrepreneur, owning and operating her own beauty and personal care company, Sunkissed Beauty, while also being a full-time university student.
Miss Hannah brings extensive experience in Human Resources, coupled with her involvement in the dance industry over the past several years. Her expertise in HR management ensures the smooth operation of the studio, fostering a positive and organized environment for both staff and dancers. With a passion for the arts and a commitment to excellence, Miss Hannah plays a key role in supporting the studio’s vision, helping create a welcoming space where students can thrive both artistically and personally.

Miss Charli

Miss Charli is a world-class dancer and performer who brings passion, precision, and inspiration to every class she teaches. Throughout her dance career, she has earned multiple scholarships and countless first-place awards in the competitive division across all genres — from jazz and lyrical to contemporary, tap, and Acro.
Her dedication to the art of dance won her a scholarship to New York, where she studied theatre and refined her performance skills among some of the best in the industry. Currently, Miss Charli continues to shine as a university scholarship athlete, demonstrating her incredible discipline, strength, and drive both on and off the stage.
At our academy, Miss Charli plays a key role in developing personalized strength and conditioning programs for our competitive dancers, helping each student build confidence, endurance, injury prevention, and the physical foundation needed to reach their fullest dance potential.
Her energy, expertise, and genuine love for her students make her an invaluable part of our dance family.
Miss Sarah

Sarah is an established teacher, choreographer, and adjudicator. She began her dance studies with the Kiana School of Dance Arts in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. She received extensive ballet training in the professional divisions of the National Ballet School of Canada, Quite Ballet School, and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School. Sarah graduated from the Sherry Walsh Academy of Dance Arts in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. There, she established a competitive dance background in all dance disciplines and obtained her associate status with the British Academy of Teachers of Dancing (BATD).
Sarah is a graduate from the National Ballet School Teacher’s program and was awarded her Cecchetti associate, and National associate with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD). She continues to develop her ballet education and teaching methods with Cecchetti Canada. Sarah has Licentiate status and is an active member, enrolling students in annual examinations.
Sarah has taught and choreographed for various schools in British Columbia and Ontario. For six years she developed and directed a competitive dance program. She is currently employed as a Cecchetti ballet teacher in the Niagara Region. Sarah is a proud member of the Professional Adjudicators Alliance and thoroughly enjoys sharing her expertise adjudicating for dance competitions throughout Canada.

Mr Ryan

Ryan Stephenson began his journey as a gymnast, representing Canada as a member of the National Power Tumbling Team. His passion for creativity and self-expression led him to be scouted by Cirque du Soleil, where he toured the world for 15 years with three different productions and worked in Macau with Franco Dragone Entertainment.
Through his experiences in the circus world, Ryan discovered his inner artist, igniting a lifelong passion for sharing his craft with the next generation. As an award-winning Acro Dance Choreographer, his work has been recognized at the Canadian Dance Championships. Ryan thrives on the synergy of athleticism and artistry that dance offers and takes pride in inspiring dancers to reach new heights. He is excited to collaborate and create with the talented dancers at Smithville Grimsby Dance Academy, bringing his unique expertise and enthusiasm to every performance.

Miss Veronica is high-energy, kid-loving, adventure-making camp counselor with a heart of gold and a passion for play! First Aid certified and full of hands-on experience, Veronica has worked at a day camp, taught gymnastics, and worked in dynamic after-school programs —always bringing enthusiasm, leadership, and endless positivity. She’s currently earning her BA in Psychology at Brock University, combining her love of learning, child development, and fun. With a background in gymnastics and rugby, Veronica is all about team spirit, confidence building, and helping every camper shine. Whether she’s leading a game, spotting a cartwheel, or making someone’s day with a smile, Veronica brings her energy and even bigger heart to camp every single day!
Miss Taylor

Miss Taylor brings years of experience, dedication, and creativity to her role as a dance educator. With a background that spans multiple genres — including jazz, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, tap, and Highland — she inspires her students to explore both the artistry and athleticism of dance. Since 2016, Miss Taylor has taught dancers of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced competitors. Her choreography emphasizes confidence, expression, and teamwork, and she takes pride in fostering a positive environment where dancers can thrive both on stage and in the studio. Over the years, she has successfully coached numerous dancers and teams to competitive success while encouraging a lifelong love of movement. In addition to her extensive dance background, Miss Taylor is passionate about mentoring youth beyond the studio. Through her work with the YMCA and community outreach programs, she has developed strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills — qualities that shine through in every class she teaches. Miss Taylor’s creative energy and supportive teaching style make her a valued part of our dance family. She believes that dance builds not just strong technique, but also strong, confident individuals — both in and out of the spotlight.

Mr Blake

Mr. Blake is the talented Music Director for both our Smithville and Grimsby academies, bringing energy, excitement, and a true passion for music to our studios every day. His enthusiasm is contagious — inspiring students to express themselves creatively and confidently through rhythm and song.
Outside the studio, Mr. Blake is the lead singer and guitarist for the popular band 50 Road, where his love for performing shines just as brightly on stage as it does in the classroom.
In addition to leading our music programs, he also lends his creativity and positivity to our camps and recreational programming. Whether he’s sharing his musical expertise, leading a fun activity, or cheering on our dancers, Mr. Blake’s upbeat spirit and love for the arts make every experience unforgettable.

Miss Bronwyn

Bronwyn has been passionate about the arts from a young age, stepping into the studio at just 3 years old and joining the competitive dance team by age 4. Over the years, she trained extensively in all styles, but truly found her heart in musical theatre, song and dance, and lyrical.
As a competitive dancer, Bronwyn was recognized consistently with performance awards across multiple competitions, known for her captivating stage presence and storytelling. She now brings that same energy and artistry to her teaching—instilling in her students the value of not just dancing, but truly performing.
Following graduation, Bronwyn pursued a Theatre Production program where she developed a wide range of skills—from sound design to hair and makeup artistry. She quickly stepped into leadership roles as the group’s choreographer and head of hair and makeup, discovering a deep passion for the behind-the-scenes magic that brings performances to life. During this time, she also dedicated herself to vocal training, sharpening her technique and stage sound, and began choreographing everything from short plays to full-scale musicals.
Today, Bronwyn is committed to sharing all she’s learned with the next generation of performers. She strives to build confidence, creativity, and versatility in her students by encouraging them to explore the full spectrum of the theatrical arts—dance, singing, and acting. Bronwyn feels incredibly grateful to be part of her students’ journeys and is passionate about nurturing their love for the stage.
